Welcome To Dawn Sela Photography

My work has been described as classic, timeless, fresh and fun. I look forward to the opportunity to meet with you and your children and capture them as they are right now.

"I am simply in awe of what you are able to capture in the matter of a few hours. You have captured their world as siblings - the love they share- their sibling dynamics, the fun they have, and the silliness that captures them at any given moment. You have also captured the individuality of our children, Keenan's smile from his eyes and within, the thoughtful moments of Kaitlin, a young woman in the making holding firmly to the joy of childhood and Alexa's joy of being herself and adored by her older brother and sister. With deepest gratitude and appreciation for your time, effort and skill....Kathleen"

NY Child Photographer Auction to Benefit Stony Kill Foundation

Well, Fall of 2010 has quickly come within sight. My most favorite time of year for photographing children and families at Stony Kill Farm.

This year is a special year at Stony Kill. As many of you may or may not know, Stony Kill faced closure by New York State this year but through diligence and hard work, it has been decided to keep the farm open for the public to enjoy.

The following is a press release announcing how I would like to help the Stony Kill Foundation maintain the beauty of the land and the programs it offers the public.

Press Release:

Beacon resident and photographer, Dawn Sela, would like to announce the donation and auction of a children’s photography session package to benefit the Stony Kill Foundation.

Dawn’s clients regularly travel from throughout the tristate area to experience the beauty of Stony Kill and conduct their annual photo session.

The package will include a full 2 hour photo session for the fall of 2010 at Stony Kill Farm for an immediate family  of siblings and parents.  The session must take place Fall of 2010 and there are no substitutions.

With the session the winning bid will receive:

a minimum of 40-50 creatively retouched portraits in an online gallery to choose from

one 40 image leather album complete with 40 5×7 portraits in an upscale, silk lined keepsake box

one cd of watermarked, web sized images for online sharing

Retail value is $1175 and the starting minimum bid will be $500.

Please show your support for Stony Kill Farm and visit www.dawnsela.com/blog for further details.

The auction will be running over labor day weekend, beginning Friday, September 3rd. The ENTIRE winning bid will be donated to the foundation for Stony Kill’s benefit.

The winning bidder will be announced on Tuesday, September 7th.

Peek A Boo! I’m still alive! Westchester New York Child and Family Photographer

I’m here! Head over heels in deep but loving every minute of it! I have SO SO SO SO many beautiful families and children to share:) Let’s start with one from the late summer, and one from very recently and over the next few weeks, I’ll work my way through all of my fall sessions!

These are from time I spent in the Hamptons and Montauk the last week of summer. While I love the fall, summer is my favorite time of year and I wish I could just close my eyes and have one more pool day or day on the beach with my children and your children this year! Help me count down the days!
